一、 教学内容
《牛津小学英语》5B U8 At the weekends。Part B Look,read and learn&Part E Read the passage。
二、 教学目标
1、能听懂、会说、会读单词ant，butterfly，dragonfly，firefly，bee，grasshopper。
2、能正确理解《Insects are our good friends》的内容，并能熟练地朗读。
3、能在日常生活中灵活运用所学内容进行交际。
4、培养学生的口语表达能力与热爱大自然的情感。
三、 教学重难点
1、重点：掌握6个昆虫类单词，并能听懂、会说、会读《Insects are our friends》的内容。
2、难点：能够灵活表达喜欢的昆虫及其特点。
四、 课前准备
教师准备录音机、磁带、教学课件、师生共同准备课外阅读材料一篇。
五、 教学过程
Step 1、Warming-up
1、Greetings
T：Good morning，boys and girls.How are you today?
S1：Fine,thanks.
T：I’m glad to hear that…
（设计意图：上课伊始与学生亲切自然的相互问候可以使学生快速融入英语学习的氛围。同时为下一步教学做铺垫。）
Step 2、Presentation
T:There are seven days in a week.We go to school from Monday to Friday.On Saturday and Sunday,we don’t go to school.Boys and girls,how do you spend your weekends?
S1:I often do my homework.
S2:I often play games with my friends.
S3:I often go shopping with my parents.
…
T:Do you want to know how I spend my weekends?Please guess.
S1:Do you often watch TV?
S2:Do you often do housework?
S3:Do you often surf the Internet?
T:Yes.I often surf the Internet at the weekends.Oh,you’re clever.
（设计意图：通过询问学生如何过周末，和让学生猜测老师如何过周末的活动，不仅营造了学生学习英语的气氛，激发了学生的学习兴趣，又能为教学新课作铺垫，同时还引导学生复习了旧知识。）
T:I find a lot of beautiful pictures on the Internet.Let’s have a look.
S:（Look at the pictures）
T:What pictures are they?
S:They’re insects.
T:Are they beautiful?Do you like them?
S:Yes.
T:Well.Today we’ll learn some insects.
（设计意图：利用多媒体让学生欣赏了许多昆虫的图片，为学生营造了逼真的视觉效果，激发了学生学习新知的欲望。）
Step 3:Look,read and learn
T:Look,what insect is it?
S:(a bee)
T:Yes.It’s a bee.(让学生跟读bee)
T:Bees are busy.They can make honey.(多媒体展示此句)
同法学习butterfly，dragonfly，firefly，ant，grasshopper。
